There are good books and bad books Amazing ones and pathetic ones But have you ever come across books that start out great and amazing and end up pathetic and harrowing Well I just did Courtesy of the novel I picked up from the library Gym and Slimline authored by Emma Burstall So there s Percy Patrice Suzanne and Carmen each women amazing in their own way or so you think until you go deeper into the story then you realize how each of them is absolutely pathetic and disbelievingly stupid in their own way Actually I was enjoying the book until the author decided to throw some unwanted elements towards the middle of the story had she done in the beginning I could have saved myself from the torture such as Percy s infidelity or Carmen s sudden decision to impregnate herself That was ridiculous After some time whatever joy I had felt in reading the book was sucked out of me by the characters The only woman I had sympathy for was Patrice Her situation nobody could predict I felt so sorry for her And I also felt extremely outraged when our dear Emma had to rope in Patrice s long lost brother and spoil the plot Suzanne s story was okay but it was too unrealistic So to sum up I would say there are better books to read please do not waste your time reading this one
